OT: I'm Putting on My Asbestos Big Girl Panties Now 2823


I have stayed out of these threads for the most part, but I really feel strongly enough about this part here to say a little something. No doctor who doesn't want a HUGE lawsuit is going to say that someone has advanced cancer without KNOWING. The liability they would face is stupendous. Can you imagine being told you have stage 4 metastasized cancer, and you DON'T? Do you think maybe you'd go through some pain and suffering and mental anguish? It's the stuff ambulance-chasing lawyers DREAM of.

I don't know what kili's situation is, and I offered the help I could, but this part, this one part that is being debated...there's no way I would ever believe that a doctor would diagnose metastasized cancer without knowing with a reasonable certainty.

I'll continue praying for a speedy recovery, and for her soul.

IF what you're saying is correct, that doesn't mean that cancer doesn't NORMALLY show markers in the blood. It does. Just because your mother's case was out of the ordinary, doesn't mean the person you are responding to is WRONG, it just means that there are exceptions to every rule.
