I'm buttuming that these things are just coffee that is already encased in a filter. Correct me if I am wrong. These things...

Mr. Ed

Nope, sorry. Even though I wasn't initally impressed, I now see where this coffee maker could be quite useful. It would virtually eliminate instant coffee something I drink only when desperate and don't want to make a full pot for myself. It's a quick way to make teas and ice teas as well. There are a couple of tricks to it but once you get the hang of it, no problem. We've had the coffee brewed this way at the kids and it wasn't too bad, definitely better than instant. Oh and that thing about not using regular tea bags in it is nonsense. We've been playing with the coffee maker just to see what happens. Regular and herbal tea bags work just fine. I'll pick up a few boxes of the pods as you do need to use a different pod for each cup but IMO they will likely save a lot of wasted coffee. This coffee maker won't replace our purculator or fresh ground beans but it will allow us to have a decent cup of coffee when we don't want to brew a whole pot. Now, to re-arranging the counter which likely needs it anyway :)
