I can always tell who on the road with me is talking on a cell and who is not, just by the gymnastics those who are talking put their calls through.

I can't count the number of drivers who have nearly lane-changed right into me, or pulled through intersections or out of driveways and nearly T-boned me. Only one of them has succeeded in hitting me, but it's gotten to the point where the mere sight of a car making to turn into my lane of traffic scares me half to rest.
A couple of days ago, we had an accident locally in which a smallish car somehow ended up under the trailer of an 18-wheeler. The semi driver knew nothing of how the accident happened, only that one minute the car wasn't being ground up under his wheels and the next minute it was. The car's driver was initially cagey about the circumstances, but ultimately came clean: he was on his cell phone and his exit was coming up fast, so he changed lanes to get to it, period. He didn't see the biggest butted truck in the world in the lane next to him and turned right under its trailer because he didn't look. His defense remains that he was on the phone and had to get to his exit.
