I looked *everywhere* in SoCal for pot barley, b-c I read that pot barley doesn't get mushy in soup, etc., like pearl barley does. Left no stone unturned: Von's (Pavilions), Ralph's, Trader Joe's, Gelson's Henry's Market, Mother's Market and Bristol Farms. Even tried Surly Table and William Sonoma. Then tried the small gourmet shops: International Food Market, Everyday Gourmet Food Co., Laguna Gourmet Food Gallery. Could not find pot barley. Hit the internet.
