Down South, we make "the exact same thing, only different" (sorry).

Here we have a really fancy name for it: egg on toast We don't break the yolk or cook the bread in the same pan (but other than that... well, you know)

'Round here, you have to have two pieces of bread to call it a

The bread part of your recipe is what we call "pan toast". It is heavenly. Pan toast is yummy with all kinds of things - esp. oatmeal.

My dad (and his dad) loved fried egg sandwiches - egg yolks "runny" on plain white untoasted bread. It was some sort of macho sport to see if you could eat it without the yolk dripping all down your shirt. go figure.

Then there's the grilled cheese. Butter one side of the bread, put in skillet, add cheese, top with another slice of bread buttered on the outside side. Lightly brown "down side", flip and lightly brown the other side. Yum, Yum.

Turn £3 Into £5000 ..Or More!! Some people think that these so called 'scams' are pathetic, but this worked for me, and if it didn't I wouldn't be wasting my time posting...

One of my "comfort foods" is a pan toasted, scrambled egg, and crispy strips of bacon sandwich with a bit of mayo. It does take 3 skillets to make it, but what the heck? Comfort food knows no cost.

Elaine, too
