That is just horrible. I know in your area a chicken flock is a source of food and eggs.

Personally I think the dog owner should be shot and not the dog. That's just my opinion. The leash laws are very stiff here in Glendale Missouri. The lady down the street has 2 black labs that used to escape her fenced yard. She could not figure out how they were getting out. All I know is they spent many a day at my place eating Milk Bones. I think all told she spent $2000 in fines to keep getting them out of the doggie clink. Apparently my house was not the only place they tore up garden space. NOW we have Max and it's all because his (I can't stand her, the unpleasant woman) owner is too lazy to walk him. Very seldom do I see a dog roaming but Max is a regular in my back yard. When I see a dog running loose; it's usually because the dog got out somehow. I usually just put them in the garage with fresh water and call the owners. We have a neighborhood phone list.

Dogs will be dogs and they can be a horrible nuisance. They'll dig in gardens and knock trash over. Not to mention trying to attack you. You also mentioned peoples livestock. The livestock is really a bad situation.

The (unpleasant woman) lady down the street said one time "I just can't control Max" and my response was "You said you moved here to protect your children. None of us can figure out what you are protecting them from. If you can't control a housepet, what makes you think you can control your children"? She was peeed.
