Uh, what is your point exactly? Rona clearly stated that sloppy posting habits will cause her to avoid the posts of those who insist upon exercising such behavior. *How* she accesses Usenet is absolutely *no* concern of yours...
Just so you know, a number of telecoms in "heavily industrialized nation(s)" do NOT have free unlimited local calls, *everyone* is charged by the unit, an ISP can offer "unlimited" access for so much per month, but the subscriber is still going to get hit with additional telephone charges regardless...
And I agree with her initial point - I get real tired of reading X00 lines of quoted post, only to have the poster add a line or three of their own comments at the end. I've killfiled a number of Usenet posters who engage in this bad habit, I do my best to trim posts, it only takes a few seconds of my time and makes it easier for others to read my posts (whether they *want* to is a whole 'nother topic, lol :-).
Not trimming one's posts is every bit as rude as top - posting IMNSHO...
And in any case Google is just about the poorest and slowest way around to access Usenet, it's no panacea for her concerns.
OT sorta: chickentails AnyoneEwwww... I'm sorry but this really grossed me out. As curious and liberal as I am about tasting, eating and drinking different things, these chickentails are too...
