In Australia (at least the part I'm in, I can't speak for everywhere, though I don't think this differs by state) we don't commonly refer to "winter squash" and "summer squash" the way it's done in the US. The winter squashes are pretty much all known as pumpkins here. At the moment I'm cooking some butternut pumpkin, which is the same as the butternut squash that Dams was modelling :-) in another thread. The summer squashes would be more likely to be referred to as squash - though I'm sure there's plenty of people who wouldn't think of zucchini if you mentioned squash.
I'll have to have a good look at the link you provided and see if any of them seem to match up to some of the pumpkins we have here. I haven't been able to find a good site with images of the different pumpkin varieties on sale here. Some, I'm sure, are the same as US ones, but perhaps have different names. I think there are also some different varieties that might not be seen in other countries, the same as there are undoubtedly varieties available in other countries that we don't see here.
Well, back to my butternut pumpkin. I'm trying out a recipe for pumpkin bread. There's a bakery chain here (Bakers Delight) which used to have a pumpkin bread which my sister loved - it was quite nice. However, since she hasn't been able to get it for quite some time I thought I'd try this recipe and see if she likes it. If it turns out nicely I'll post the recipe. If it doesn't I'll try another recipe-another type of pumpkin..
