I would have liked to see two things on this thread the first being the illness was indeed caused by teflon meaning credible diagnosis by either a doctor or naturalopath and second a nick change until such time teflon has been proven to be the cause of the illness. I'm certainly am not defending teflon and in fact the controversy over teflon was *one* of the reasons I went to stainless steel. Notice I said one meaning there were other reasons for switching. One thing I didn't like in a couple of replies was the *alarmist* overtones. I'd love to discuss this issue further and would appreciate documented, scientific evidence but until such time I will continue to use my teflon coated fry pan the very few times a year I cook eggs at home. I'm not 100% convinced that this wasn't a fluke as in developing a sensitivity to teflon even though it may have been used in the past. AFAIK *no one* has ever got sick from any of the food I've cooked whether from the food or the actual pans. I intend for it to stay that way. I will take caution just in case.

BTW, DuPont the makers of teflon are rich & powerful. If it were me I would want to be damn sure that's what made me sick before accusing them! Otherwise you open yourself up to a lawsuit if only for the slander AND don't think your messages can't be traced.
