We toured the Sunset Magazine Idea House in south suburban Denver a few years ago. The master bedroom occupied what felt like 1-3 of the first floor. It included a small counter area with a microwave and an under-counter refrigerator. It also had a fireplace, two huge walk-in closets larger than many bedrooms, his-and-hers lavs, separated by the hallway to the shower room. His had a television built into the shaving mirror. The shower was a room about 8x10 feet with multiple showerheads on opposing walls and three large windows which overlooked the front yard! There was also the requisite jacuzzi.
The Big "OOrganics: Are They Worth It? A guide to deciding what to buy for your family By Melissa...
The actual kitchen had two of nearly every major appliance, a salad sink, a pasta cookpot set into the countertop, an ice machine, a wine fridge in the butler's pantry, etc. etc. etc. Between the kitchen and garage were various utility rooms including a dog-washing sink and a potting area for gardening.
A deck wrapped around the back of the house and just outside the family room was an outdoor kitchen--cooktop, ginormous grille, refrigerator, and a sink. This in a climate where you need to drain the outside plumbing for 7 months of the year to avoid freezing pipes.
The whole place was amazing but a bit over the top for my taste (and pocketbook!)
