"I just spoke with ***** on the phone, and he asked me to pbutt this along to everyone. He's on the West Coast, and the folks out there are doing an excellent job of making sure he's okay.

He is in touch with several bloggers in New Orleans and it appears that

things are much worse than the news is saying. He doesn't know how it's

being done, but there are reports that water is being diverted into areas that previously suffered little flooding, in the hopes that the water level can be kept constant. A major levee has broken and the lake is flooding into the city. He says there isn't much hope for anything being left, and by
