Homemade:
Mom German Black Forest Cake, which is a german chocolate cake either from a boxed mix or homemade, but WITH A HOMEMADE frosting. I don't know what or how its made but I dislike most of the prepared german chocolate cake icing. I've even had icing at restaurants that I didn't care for. I really have to watch when I see this on a menu.
Simple yellow boxed mix cake with this redish pinkish HOT sauce my mom makes, which I can not pry a recipe out of her for anything.....Its simple and just fantastic.
Homemade Chocolate Zucchini Cake.
Prepared-purchased cakes
The local Megamart makes this "Italian Creme Cake" and its DIVINE. The local-regional grocery chain also makes a fantastic "Italian Creme Wedding Cake." They are very similar to each other but they are very good for prepared purchased cakes.
The local megamart also makes a decent German Chocolate cake, that I risked, and found it was quite close to Moms, but I twist Mom's arm to make it when she asks for suggestions. Can beat it she cooks, they eat 1-2 slices and I get to take the rest home. MMMMMMMM.
