My grandson was visiting and for fun we went out in the shop to "milk the powdered cow" and mixed up a glbutt of milk for him to taste and he declared it the best milk he ever drank.
Now this just may be a grampa reaction thing but it could not have been too bad for him to say this and drink it all. I sent him home with a few pounds of it and mom confirmed that he drank it all and really did like it.
Unfortunately, the dairy lobby and the worst government money can buy makes it nearly impossible for mortals to purchase this stuff in this country but the point is that it is not the dehydrating that makes powdered milk icky it's the total lack of butter fat.
You can say that all you want but I would like to see the source for that. On the other hand, I am not sure they even have no fat liquid milk around here but they do have "skim milk" which says right on it that it is reconstituted from powder. Note that it is called skim and not skimmed so the meaning of the word is totally ambiguous.
