cleaningpolishing patio furniture

David Hare-Scott and furniture? I the more harm

dinner tonight 3470
I found some lamb rib chops in the used meat section of the market. I grilled them. I minced some garlic and some fresh mint...

Well, DUH... obviously Ginny doesn't know more or she'd have contacted the manufacturer for advice rather than asking a cooking group. The vast majority of patio furniture these days is powder coated aluminum, finished with similar acrylic product as modern auto finishes. If as she describes, her furniture has become chalky it's likely more than a couple years old and has been outdoors continuously, uncovered and uncared for. Most auto finish restoring products will list other uses on the label, often powder coated patio furniture is listed... and as most normal brained people would, as the labels of such products strongly suggest, is to first apply to a small *inconspicuous* area. Stores like Pep Boys, Aid Auto, etc. carry a plethora of finish There are many other brands, a trip to an auto parts store will offer many labels to peruse.

Tonight's party 3472
Sounds absolutely great to me! I also am throwing a party tonight. It's a fund raiser for our local ASO (that's AIDS Service Organization for those who don't know) and it's an interesting...

My last set of patio furniture was powder coated aluminum, kept outdoors continously through all NY seasons, never covered... occasional washing with Turtle Wax car wash and a once a year application of Armor All kept it looking BETTER than new, had it 15 years.... finish was still perfectly fine but then the glbutt table top shattered (don't ever forget to remove the umbrella)... new glbutt top cost nearly as much as an entire patio set, so I figured a change of scenery was in order and now I have wooden patio furniture... gets a liberal application of Thompsons wood preservative each year, great stuff.
