reviving the RFC cookbook

To the Minneapolis Contingent
John and I may pbutt on the show in Edina. He finally managed to get in touch with them to ask about his booth space and ask...

Some people like a physical cookbook, I know I do. (I'm glad I ordered one when the first copy was sold)

Red...kinda Apple butter bbq sauce for pulled pork
I'm crock potting a boneless pork butt shoulder roast rubbed with a little cumin salt and pepper and nestled...

Not just that, but I know many ordered several extras as gifts. That doesn't really work as an electronic file.

Also, how would an electronic cookbook done be the same as it's "former glory"? Somebody printed & charged us for the cookbooks before, they were not done for free. The only part that didn't cost money was the efforts of all in RFC of submitting recipes, and then the volunteers who put it together, taking the funds, ordering the books and then separately packaging & shipping to everybody. Ordering from CP would cut out most of those steps.

I'm not trying to argue and I don't really want to be involved in the setting up of it, I just think this is a really cool idea, and probably would be fairly easy to set up. There would be no large printings, no packaging & shipping for those involved. Just a one time set up in Cafe Press & then people can order whenever they want. CP also has amazing prices, and a flat $5 shipping fee.

I know there is a rec.food.cooking website just recently set up. That could be a good place for a link.

Also, if somebody got creative, other things could be added, such as aprons, mugs, T-shirts, etc... That actually is something I could help with. I'm fairly artistic. I could create a logo or something. Just musing a little.

Another idea I just thought of is maybe this could be a second edition with new recipes?

Silkie chicken
Oh there are many colors... :-) I had buff, white, black and "blue" (dark gray). There are also "splash" when you cross...

Again, all the proceeds could go to Second Harvest, same as before.
