Must be the moon or something. I haven't been able to post here for a long time and suddenly I can during all of this, how shall we say, friction? I have been able to read things posted.
I thoroughly agree with the advice above and what Barb and others have said. You may wake up today and want to stuff your head in your turkey for the goings-on of yesterday. Maybe you will just continue on, as you seem to want to do after supposedly quitting the fray. It did seem like you were totally stressed-out and having an episode. I think that Dams got it right early in this very long string of things. Even from other posts it seems like you demand a lot of attention and I'm sorry to be giving you some now.
REC Mixed Nut BarsThis is a super-easy, wonderfully delicious bar recipe. I got this and a fruitcake bar recipe from a temp who worked in the office of my last job. I'll be happy to post...
Sheldon gave me a lot of guff when he thought I was a newbie (I wasn't: he was absent when I first came on here). I don't have the thickest skin but got used to him and understood what teasing is, having two older brothers. No, I do not condone insults or degredation. But it is, after all, sticks and stones.
Through emails with "Shelly" I found what a kind and thoughtful person he is, besides all the crap he writes here. So, I'm ready for your kf, not that I will be able to post here often due to aol, google and mac flukes. I'm not allied with anyone nor am anyone's stooge: just my personal experience.
Tomorrow we will scatter the ashes of one of my best friends from high school. He died 2 years ago of AIDS and we'd been out of touch for years. His sister got in touch with me and hadn't realized how close Craig and I had been. She sent him here on one of his last trips. So my husband and I will try to sing "Saturday In The Park" by Chicago (it was "our" song although we were just buddies), do that "sweet prince" part from Hamlet and give him a toast. Maybe some balloons up into the air. There is more to life than typing on here although you say you have a life. Sweat the big stuff.
I served some dried (soaked) morels and button mushrooms in a sauce with cream, garlic, white wine and lots of butter on noodles. Oh, man was it good! I learned that it was better to soak these morels overnight, as they were gritty the first time I soaked them for just an hour or so. Oh, and parm reg on top, too.
