The word was derived from the Latin 'vegetus', meaning whole, sound, fresh, lively; - apparently.

In that case they should eat some meat to get the whole natural dietary range ;-)

The definition of a vegetarian as someone or something that only eats vegetables, vegetable arian according to some sources is probably more the common understanding even among those that claim to be vegetarians.

As such I can't see why they couldn't eat to excess. I did read about one idiot that drank 7 pints of carrot juice and died from vitamin A contagioning. And omnivores like me don't eat to excess either - well only now and again and then I run it off. That is the irritating thing about your ranting. The implication that anyone who isn't a vegetarian and eats some meat is some sort of obese walking heart attack riddled with cancer.

As far as eating vegetarians, I should think eating small quanbreasties of human vegetarians would be unlikely to do physical harm although there could be an emotional, psychological or spiritual issue.

Don't we all wish we were as clever as JC ;-)
