For anyone in easy reach of Liverpool, my new beer, "Sunlight" from The Betwixt Beer Co. will be on sale at the excellent & new Lark Lane Farmers' Market, this coming Saturday, 27th August.
The beer is a 4.5% pale golden hoppy ale (styrian, challenger & goldings), brewed for me by the good chaps at Northern Brewing, Runcorn. It will initially be sold as unpasteurised, unfiltered, bright beer, bottled stright from cask into 1litre plastic bottles (& 10&20litre polypins to order)
After today's licensing application went thru OK (arranged with the kind help of John O'Dowd, of the excellent GBG & NI-listed Lion Tavern, Moorfields) we will now be supplying 4 Saturday farmers' markets per month on Merseyside.
- Monument Place-LondonRd, Liverpool - 1st&3rd Saturday of month; - New Ferry, Wirral - 2nd Saturday of month - Lark Lane, Liverpool - 4th Saturday of month
If there is demand I will also sell the beer in truly 'real' form & am looking into producing bottle-conditioned beer in 500ml.
As well as beer, there will be excellent locally made-grown-reared meats, poultry, herbal soaps, cheese, fruit&veg, etc, etc.
Say hello if you come to the market, cheers, Mike McGuigan (ukfdra regular & ukfdm lurker) The Betwixt Beer Co. tel - 0779 296 7414
Help! Sea Bbutt Mailcopiesto: neverThey only had the one; after I was told the price I understood more clearly why it's so expensive in restaurants! Mind you, it probably would have fed...
