I've just come back from visitng friends in Southern Ireland who have one.
Chris insisted on showing us his party trick - boiling water in a pan with an ice cube next to it on the hob not melting. Not a bad idea as his wife is non too steady these days. It also seemed to be pretty good at simmering which surprised me.
I also got a lot of flack from my owner & trainer about how much easier it was to clean than 'my' Lacanche. I can see that getting one will be a done deal when we next move.
Cheers, Tom
I am looking for opinions (and if you are kind enough to reply please state what model you have and how old it is) on how good induction hobs are.
Siemens, Bosh, and AEG are the companies I am looking at.
Although I've found a combi version Priced at £454
I've never her of De Dietrich ? Has anyone else ?
So if you have one, let me know is it worth the money ? Cheapest I've found is about £480 which is about double what I am looking to pay for a quality GAS HOB.
Finally if you kow of a better place for me to ask this question please let me know
