No, I thought he was brilliant and I wasn't watching for Billie Piper either. They have brought a quirky realism into the plots
don't read on if haven't seen any yet . . . . . . . . when BP returns home and it turns out they have been away for a year and the Doctor is looked at as almost a person, when the Dalek gets to some stairs, when in the Blitz BP tells the little girl "its all right, you win" having got across the feeling, missing from most WW2 things, that it must have looked hopeless, with Churchill saying
"we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this Island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the British Fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in God's good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old."
With the old men of the home guard building strong points *behind* your house and plants falling every night, it must have looked a pretty grim prospect, just a few Spitfires and Hurricanes holding the line. Churchill good as saying invasion will come, fight for every street.
Er, no food either. There is an old poster, its on the wall near London Bridge station, cant quite remember how it goes, but its two stews, a Churchill one and a Hitler one, basically eat badly for victory. Where was I?
Didgiguide is showing me nothing, which channel?
I imagine recycling is important on space ships :-(
