Chrismas is complicated in our household...we have Polish Christmas Eve meal, then Christmas lunch on Christmas day...this year on Boxing Day - we'll be in Poland, which means: Christmas Day = all day breakfast: roast hams, poultry, pates, salads, sauces, cakes, gallons of tea, coffe, fruit, sweet dishes, sauerkraut stew, salami type sausages....then on Boxing Day I'll be cooking for up to 15 - turkey breast, several stuffings (packets of which will travel with me), raosties, veg (have to take parsnip), cranberry, gravy (will take), bread sauce (will take),, bacon an sausages (will travel...), christmas pudding (yes, will travel) brandy sauce, mince pies later (mincemeat will travel...), 3 packs of christmas crackers WILL TRAVEL
there will be 3 vegetarians with us, so I will cater for them too
I wonder what I have left out :PPP
aaa- stilton and nice mature cheddar WILL travel, hope to get good sherry and port over there...
however, if we stayed at home, it would be chicken and whatever's handy :p

I will cook the christmas lunch as I argue with people who say English-British food is rubbish (mainly on the Polish cooking newsgroup).
I can see myself either legless by midday (whatever I am given I WILL drink!) or tetchy from too much work and hot oven!
Why do I get myself talked into that????????
