OT It's getting to me
Just spent all morning importing data from Excel into special software and I feel wiped...

I'm sure that's the reason but I can't help feeling that if somebody does go in for it, they'll do well. There's a tremendous movement in the south west to use local produce whenever and wherever possible. We use jam, cream, ice cream, mineral water, apple juice and other drinks all made in Devon. Wherever possible we buy locally grown veg to make soups, too.

Thank you for the kind remarks. We live in a beautiful place and we know how lucky we are. As to visitors to the nursery and tea room, it's hard to say how many visit the tea room without buying something in the nursery. I suspect the answer is 'not many' but we know that we do have quite a few people who come only to the tea room because there are just not many places selling home made cakes etc. and with waitress service and a nice garden! Quite often we find spouses - usually of the male variety - 'parked' in the garden or inside while their other half does the plant buying and then joins them. And it's not rare to find some happy soul sound asleep on the grbutt under a tree!

Luckily, that has never happened - though I'm touching wood as I say that. ;-) -- Sacha www.hillhousenursery.co.uk South Devon
