You lucky man. I don't know if I could work there, work ethics and discipline are rather different to what you experience here or even in France, but it would be tempting to give it a try - providing my German were better, of course. :)

Yes, there is a fascination with food which is very strange: people don't seem frivolous or otherwise obsessed with food, but everywhere you look it's there, looks good, tempting and nutritious, and in vast quanbreasties - all the essentials covered, what. :)

I tend to fall in love with the places I visit, but then again since I mostly go to the places I'd like to go...

The cultural and nightlife visits will be for the next time: Pergamon frieses or not we couldn't be bothered to wait 2 hours in the cold. :) I'm sure the botanic garden will look a little less Spartan, too.

(That was another unexpected funny moment: knowing the old song for a few years now, and suddenly realising that you're litterally Unter den Eichen on an avenue that leads to Potsdam... Puts a silly grin on your face and makes people wonder)
