StewHello again. I've just improvised a stew out of what i had in the fridge...
It is our general plainish cake. Also June and Clare make this for taking out to small parties etc. and have got sick and tired of writing out the recipe for people. So I have been persuaded to put it in the recipes folder, where it will remain forever and they can just print it out.
Yoghurt Cake
This is a very easy ãall in oneä cake. It makes a moist sponge. You will need: a bowl, a wooden spoon and a lined 8ä cake tin Take a small (c150ml) tub of yoghurt - any flavour and tip into a bowl.
Using the yoghurt tub as a measure add the following ingredients Two tubs sugar Three tubs SR Flour 1 tub sunflower or vegetable oil 2 eggs
Mix everything together very well and tip into the prepared cake tin. Bake for 50 mins at 350 deg F, Gas Mk 4
Variations: Use wholemeal SR flour, sieve it but add the bran. Chocolate: use a plain yoghurt, 2 1-2 tubs flour, 1-2 tub cocoa powder. Fruit about 4 oz is enough, wash and chop cherries Choc chip: 100g packet will do.
