Dried beans and chickpeas 186

Very pretty :-) Did you get a lift in the helicopter? I think one of the things we like best about the highlands is the inaccessibility...

As the LD is where I spent my formative years, I take exception to people ranting about walking there. There are some people, like Mike, who go there because they love it. OTOH there are those who go because they think it is the 'cool' thing to do. People who complain about dog-walkers in the Lake District, or anywhere else, are far too much up their own posterior orifices, IMNSHO.

(A bit like those who complain about cats in a gardening group to which I have subscribed for years but which I shall refrain from mentioning:) At least yours is real work. Tomorrow, I have to write 1500 words comparing and contrasting Pygmalion with The Wide Sargbutto Sea for my OU course. I'd much rather be making bread, gardening or playing my flute but there you go. I have made my bed and now I have to lie on it. My only consolation is that Bas is in the same boat. We have totally different writing styles, so comparing notes is not an option, especially as he is writing about Medea and something else. ('Women scorned' and all that sort of thing). Ah! Here's looking forward to you meeting Mike in real life, then:) -- June Hughes
