Greg: "To thank you for the hospitality, the least I can do is cook dinner to give you a break"

Greg makes simple dinner of p‰tŽ (from the market, if you've been following previous episodes), quiche and green salad, then pear tart

with possibly a glbutt of wine or two

Host: "This is the best meal I've ever had in my whole life!"

Hostess: "*Grrrrrowl*"

Greg, trying to find a way out: "You can't mean that. What about your wedding meal, for instance?"

Host: "Oh, that was right after the war, there was still rationing".

turning to hostess

"Yes, I'll even do the dishes!"

Hostess: "*Grrrrrrrrrrrrowl*"

Host, to hostess" "Why, I should sign you up for cooking lessons"

Hostess: "*Bark!*"

Greg, in peto: "Oh, poo"

You thought it so loud everybody could hear it.

That, and apparently the local butcher needs orders for large numbers of Cumbrian sausages, and it was impossible to go and get a small number. I have no idea why.
