Never mind, Mike. You missed a lovely evening but I am sure there will be a next time. I think I am first home. We had a lovely evening. Greg, Sarah and Graham were great company and Greg's choice of restaurant was just right. Thanks Greg.
We had two botts of red between us (although Sarah was driving and could only have a bit) and the cost was very reasonable. Three courses. We didn't see the blackboard until after we had finished the main course but that didn't matter a bit, as it was all lovely.
I was very surprised when I looked at my watch and it was 10pm. I don't think any of us had intended to stay out as long as that, especially when the others had so far to travel, although it takes almost as long to get out of town these days as it does to get right out into the country.
Greg and Graham had brought presents for everyone else but Sarah and I hadn't. I am sure we shall both make up for that in the future. Here's hoping that more people will join us next time:) -- June Hughes
