Following up to Chris Bacon read the threads "everybody OK" and "i'm really sad". or here are the postings that caused the argument and my partisan narrative:- (Reids) (header: is everybody OK?) after multipleplants in central london (Dave F) Things which happen in Central London do not affect Yorkshire or most of the UK. Dave F. was then challenged on this (or in my case just told him to f*** off, which in the light of the subsequent row probably had the advantage of brevity) by a number of people. He of course had the option of withdrawing his statement or qualifying it in some meaningful way but sadly he just insists on trying to change the subject to risk analysis or media bias against the north and has now accused others here of "threats" and "blackmail" and of wanting him to value lives in the south 10 times more than lives in the north, when of course those that disagree with him merely want him to value lives everywhere equally or as a minimum requirement just shut up. (Dave F) "What you want me to say is that a rest in London is ten times as important as a rest anywhere else in the UK." The row reignited when someone commented that is was ironic that the planters came from Yorkshire (where Dave lives) and he quickly got both his feet firmly back in his mouth. He repeatedly accused all and sundry of putting words in his mouth, but as far as I can see everything he says points to him having become so anti south-London that he doesn't have compbuttion for those end here (London) or even the sense to keep quiet. He has always offended people with rude comments about the south but on the other hand has been kind in other ways and, as I understand it, does charity work. Its sad that he has allowed his views to be warped in this way. Hope this helps.
