Llwyn Onn Hotel, Wrexham

Gadget time 15In message Gregoire Kretz Hi Greg, I have 2 slow cookers, one tiny bopper holds enough for 1-2 meals. Bought it when I started cooking, more years ago than I care to... Bas and I stayed in Wrexham on Friday night at a privately-run, three star hotel called Llwyn Onn Hotel. It cost use £75.00 for our room and we spent an additional £70 on sandwiches Friday lunchtime and dinner with wine Friday evening. We paid for our additional drinks in cash. We had a very comfortable stay. It is an old manor house and I found it in the RAC book from 2001. Our room was lovely and the bathroom was huge. It is in large grounds, although it rained when we were there, so we couldn't take advantage of that. The staff were attentive and the service at the bar and in the restaurant was superb. The food was great too. We were very pleased. Just thought you may like to know. If ever anyone is up that way I would highly recommend it. I shall certainly return. They also do special rates for more than one night at weekends but their weekly rate is higher than the rate we paid. I think that is because it is near Wrexham Industrial Park, so they probably get business people staying during the week. (I have no connection with the hotel or anyone in it and had never heard of it until I came to try and find somewhere to stay). -- June Hughes |
