I saw the reviews that said that too - so I was a little apprehensive - but I found it fine - given I hadn't dressed up particularly - just a checked shirt and chinos - there was a family where the youngsters were in jeans. All the staff except the maitre'd were in open necked shirts.

The waiter was solicitous in asking our opinion of each course and told us all about them - which is fine as we are interested - and we told him that we didn't think the truffled eggs were very interested and he said he would pbutt on our opinions.

The sommelier was very helpful given that I was driving and could only have a couple of glbuttes and wanted to discuss in some detail the village in the Languedoc where the red had come from, when I said we had visited the region, he certainly spent as much time helping me as he did with a table of French guys who were next to us.

They were a bit inclined to keep topping up the glbuttes (of water) and guess they would've done the same for wine if I'd had a bottle - but I think thats only to be expected.

No really - no problems - unlike some places I've been - mentioning no names - Sharrow Bay - where they were incredibly snotty - and frankly with very little to be snotty about imho :)
