Morrison's ridiculous queue lengths more reasons not to shop... 840

Just don't forget that it's generally not the staff's fault. Decisions-stupid ideas-cutbacks are all pbutted down from bunches of shaved, mad monkeys which are kept locked in the various head offices. If there's no staff on the checkouts it usually means that there are literally no staff to be put there. Sounds obvious but all the major stores are cutting back everywhere they can so they just share out their permitted hours as best they can and hope that they don't get over-run. Staff are now multi-use and if two or three from different departments happen to be having a break at the same time then the checkouts may well be that many people down when a rush of customers comes along. Supermarkets don't have staff sitting-standing idle anymore.

They, the staff, are *told* to take customers to products (if you don't want them to say "It's ok, just tell me), and they are told to offer bag packing. Again, it doesn't hurt to just say no ta and some customers are grateful for the help anyway.

I know I may be thought of as biased as I actually work for Tesco but in my area I really do prefer to shop there. We have a huge Tesco Extra with a really good range now that they've had a refit and there's pretty much everything I could possibly want there.

There's not often queues either - I must just go at the right times.
