The F wordHe's quite attractive but I wouldn't really say he is lovey. Tries to be. Like putting his arms round someone to teach...
Well, thank you kindly for the welcomeback :) The 'orrible redecorating has been in motion since beginning of July...no a single room downsatirs (loo, little hall, bigger hall, s-roo, dining room + kitchen, larde and under-the-stairs is completely finished....plastering, new floors, two cowboys, a young visitor from Poland, two cowboys disappearing...one reappearing and coming to do the jobs sort of once a week for a couple of hours...then cracking a bone in his right hand...then twisting his ankle....I want to run away from home
there is tiny kind of damage all over the place - the freshly painted wall in the hall is...coming off where I washed it after dog shook herself (rain, rain, rain...), food processor mysteriously lost its plug, a nice mug has developed a sudden crack...our wooden stork, suspended from high ceiling has lost half its tail....my boots missing, presumed dead and piles of wood in the larde, no cupboard for coats , or even pegs....
PateAaaaahhh...this is a very British pate, I like it lots but never tasted it prior to coming...
OK - I am feeling better and can share a recipe for really yummy courgette fritters
grate courgette (ab. 1 lb or just under), no too finely, put in a sieve, sprinkle with salt, let it drip for several hours, squeeze WELL, add a large egg, a couple of tablesponnfuls of semolina, a handful of chopped dill, another of chopped parsley, 1-2 finely chopped shallots and about 1-4 lb (or less - you can always add more if the first one you fry is a tad bland) - all crumbled more or less smooth. Add salt-pepper , mix well...now this friend of mine who gave me the recipe would take spoonfuls of the mixture , flatten and roll it in flour (it IS sticky!), I hate sticky, so I just spooned some into hot oil, without rolling in flour, flatten, turn over when golden on one side.
Is yummy with yoghurt-dill-garlic sauce.
