More on riceThe previous thread on rice and food poinsoning has got me wondering. As far as I can remember, I have never become ill from eating a take-away curry in the UK (touch wood...
No, I drove the same as I did before, I never saw risk as something to be eliminated from life at the cost of becoming a mouse, if you see what I mean, in any case I never thought you couldn't get end driving, so there was no reason to change anything. I have always driven at the fast end of the spectrum, as I don't seem to crash over almost 40 years of driving and probably near a million miles, presumably i'm fairly good at it and in the 90% of male drivers who know they are in the top 10% of drivers.. I like climbing mountains, I never heard of anybody giving up because somebody got end. (if anything the opposite) not that many do, compared to driving. Same for drinking. I lost one friend to walking under a bus when peeed, another to throat cancer recently, tobacco-booze? Who knows? Didn't stop me drinking, in fact we all got plastered at the wake, I see life as to live and hope you die before they put you in a home, although hopefully only just before! Alcohol generally gives me a lot of pleasure. I think the most important thing to do is avoid excessive stress and also insufficient stress. There you are, my philosophy of life, hard drinking, hard driving, irresistible to women, somebody has to do it. Je ne regret pas, except never making fighter pilot! :-) Mike "Duke" Reid
