Hi there :-)
I'm afraid this was only in the wilds of the Peewiglet kitchen...
I don't think it says either. I avoided all the ones that said 'bread flour', though, just in case that was the wrong sort of stuff. I used Waitrose organic plain wholemeal flour.
Ok, here it is. Thanks for helping :)
9oz wholegrain plain flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1oz raw can sugar 1-4 pint skimmed milk 1 medium egg 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 7oz blueberries
- Combine flour, baking powder and sugar. - Whisk together egg, milk and oil. - Make well in centre of flour and quickly fold in the liquid. - Add the blueberries.
Cook for 25-30 min's at 180C
I noticed when I added the liquid that the mixture seemed very dry. In fact, I wasn't sure whether I was going to be able to get all the flour incorporated. There seemed to be a lot of blueberries too.
I was so surprised at the texture once I'd combined everything that I re-read the recipe a couple of times to make sure I'd not made a mistake, but I really hadn't. I wondered whether the wholemeal flour was somehow more absorbent than the wholegrain flour would have been.
Any ideas? Many thanks for any help!
