That has been blown out of proportion. I don-t know anyone who has that book, but it does sell very well. It is general cookery in a country where if you drive 10 miles you find a different cuisine. This is the most ungeneral country I know of. Two of my neighbors do not own a single cookbook and just make what they-ve had all their lives exactly as mom made it. One daughter buys cookery magazines and astounds her mom with new things. Then there is my friend who cooks everything. She has hundreds of books from all the regions of Italy. She buys a magazine dedicated to cheese every month. Imagine reading that much about cheese! She is a sommelier as well and reads everything on wine every month. Two extremes. Neither has the Silver Spoon. Nor do I. But there are many regional recipes on regional sites, and I am happy to translate if they arent in dialect I don-t know.
