Following up to Mike what a bizarre opinion, are you as nuts as Dave?

Only this week there was a program on TV about the snow in London-the South East which caused gridlock. The amount of snow was very low, only a few centimeters. We many times have that amount of snow here and it causes minor problems. If London gritters and drivers are incompetent in snowy conditions, that is essentially a *local* problem, in no way can it be called a national problem.

Once every few years there is a snowfall in Bradford in the afternoon, where the gritters can not get out. Bradford being in a bowl all the traffic leaving work, slides backwards and lots of people get home late. No real problem, everything is back to normal in a few hours.

The London problems get programs on national TV, the Bradford problems are lucky to get a few minutes on a local TV news.

This pattern is repeated time and time and time and time and time and time and time and time and time again.
