Absolutely. It's easy for me to say since I don't have children, but the responsability of being...

The Reids

Regardless of who was Prime Minister at the time, it's the parents who bring their children up to eat junk and *only* junk and not know the difference between a raspberry and a cauliflower, and the same parents who vote in the Prime Ministers, local councillors etc.

One of the school meal contract caterers interviewed on the programme said they offered a 'traditional' menu -- at the same price -- but there wasn't the demand.

Parents have the option of providing their children with a packed lunch -- and we say on the programme what pbuttes for a packed lunch these days -- or they could demand that their children are educated in compliance with their personal beliefs which include proper food.

It would have been interesting to bring some French or Italian schoolchildren over on an exchange visit and get their reaction.

And how are children going to learn how to eat at table if they are served meals on trays designed for lunatics?

I had compulsory school meals before Mrs T and they put me off food for life. But they were eaten from plates with knives and forks, and -- get this! -- we even had to have a napkin and a napking ring each!
