Thanks very much for the consideration of your response, I appreciate it.

Yes, I did know about the Carr's plant flooding, but thought that the biscuits were made at other plants as well.

The picture on the "buttorted Biscuit" box featured on the Amazon website that you referenced is, indeed, the old buttortment that I like. The description of the biscuits-crackers, however, matches the new picture on the new "buttorted Biscuit" box that I purchased a couple days ago. The biscuits-crackers inside (as is the picture on the outside) are new ones, a different mixture, different shape, different texture. One has the texture of a Ritz Cracker, another is very salty, one tastes like a Keebler Wheatable, and so on - not at all like the previous buttortment.

Even the water cracker tastes a little different, not as crisp and dry. Given the flood, it's almost as if other companies are making water crackers for Carr's, not quite the same. In fact, I'd bet Carr's permanently lost some market share from this in NYC. Stores have been quick to fill the shelves with water crackers from other companies.

I've encountered plenty of websites that feature the "buttorted Biscuits" box with the old picture, but figure, if I ordered, I'd get the new buttortment. Websites aren't so meticulous that they replace the pictures all the time. Even if they did, in this case, unless someone was very familiar with the product, they might not even notice the difference.

I'm afraid that there has been a product change, not for the better, imo. Well, maybe for the "mbutt" tastes, but not for the optimal specialty of cheese and wine tasting. Hopefully, maybe the flood IS responsible and, in the future, production may take a turn for the better and the old buttortment will return, but I'd bet not likely. Wish that I could viscerally show the difference to you, explain it better, as needs be. If the new buttortment shows up in your store, get a look at the difference. If it shows up the same as the picture on the Amazon website you referenced, email me, I'll come over!!! ;-)

Introduction and a bit of celebration
I cannot think of many events in life that are a better cause for celebration than the beginnings of a long...
