OK - there was so much and I didn't take notes, but here goes (sorry for the long delay!):

Easy - ham & cheese croissant, cappuccino coffee

White wine? Can't remember which one, but Bridgewater Mill Sauvignon Blanc rings a bell.

I had Doyles' selection - blue swimmer crab, smoked salmon gravadlax, lobster, fried whiting & king prawns, with fries. Brother and friend had barramundi fillet in batter with fries and grilled fish with veg.

I had pancetta to start and steak, while the others had starters of yabby, and lambs' kidney and mains of lamb, and duck, along with potatoes and veg and a bottle of Punt Road Pinot Noir. We finished with desserts of almond cake, casata, chocolate budino.

Probably chicken something. Chocolate cake dessert - not very good.

Smokehouse platters to start (smoked kangaroo, emu, lamb and bresaola, with chutneys and relishes made on the premises), then I had lamb cutlets for main. Can't remember what the other seven had.

Regular cheeseburger and fries for me, partner had prawn & barramundi skewers in beer batter. James Boag beer from New Zealand to drink.

We started with tomato bruschetta, I had Tasmanian scallops and Asian duck curry (this was very spicy and had a huge stalk of pak choi, which was hard to cut and made me splash the sauce on my shirt), partner had red snapper, lamb cutlets and creme brulee.

Probably a very ordinary burger with fries, but at least it wasn't spag bol!

Mango daiquiri and mojito at the bar beforehand - lovely. Prawns, oysters, salmon, ocean trout and to drink, Nautilus Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand (not the same people we were told). My salmon was very rare and served on a bed of cooked aubergine - not a good combination.

I got the original day 13 wrong - it was a Sunday and we went to Manly for the day (a Sunday). Just before returning we ate dinner at the Bavarian Beer Cafe, Manly Wharf, which was delicious chilli salted squid to start, divine mussels mariniere, lobster thermidor and a bottle of Poachers Blend sauvignon blanc. Just the thing to have while sitting on the jetty and watching the sun set over the harbour.

day 14

I'd built up an appebreaste that morning by doing the Sydney Harbour bridge climb. We had the six course tasting menu, which started with an amuse bouche of spiced yellow fin tuna with a salad of thai herbs. First course was seared Queensland scallops, merguez colcannon and red wine sauce, second course was warm salad of quail, portobellos, almonds, rocket, smoked tomato and caper salsa. Main course was roast beef fillet Òen crepinetteÓ, truffled anna potato, asparagus and sauce perigeux, and dessert was almond sponge with a chilled lychee shot. We finished with Vittoria coffee and pebreast fours.
