LMFAO. The f***ing media are a complete joke...
Here's the actual rundown about mascots at Goodison.....
There is a corporate mascot (which I presume this high figure relates to) and a Junior Evertonia (our fan club) Mascot that is picked from the fan club and pays nothing.
Here's what the Corporate Mascot and their sponsoring firm receive for their money.
* Mascot receives full Everton kit upon arrival * One mascot plus three guests to attend a choice of match * Full hospitality for four in the Alex Young Suite * Player autographs for the mascot * A kick-around with the team while warming up prior to kick-off * Join the team running onto the pitch to the tune of Z-Cars The mascot and three guests will be taken to seats within an Executive seating area to watch the match * Opportunity to place a quarter page advertisement for your company within the match programme * Four match programmes * One Gwladys Street car park pbutt
I did see at the bottom that the other club to offer corporate mascots is Newcastle.
"One Newcastle United mascot is chosen by the Northern Rock Building Society as part of its sponsorship deal; the other is chosen by the match sponsor, who pays £6,825 to £11,550 plus VAT"
Once again, the homework done buy a so called "quality" paper is rather poor.
I'll give it a mark of C minus - must try harder. I will be watching in future, I think you've got the Observer's cleaner to do a part of your research.
