Yes, but, you know, at least he HAD a couple of sitters! How many has Crouch had for the last six matches? I really want him to do good, but I see very, very little of talent in there. I think he's created something like one or two chances. And how many for other players? Very, very few.

Cissˇ and Morientes are our best two strikers, like it or not, and at least one of them scored today.

Other than that, we were unbelievably pooe for the first half. We simply weren't PLAYING football, just hoofing the ball around. No pressure, no initiative, no composure, no technique (did you see some of that pbutting? did you see some of that "control"? appalling).

It's very hard to say whether or not there is any progress in the side at this point. We can be so crappy at times I have to wash my eyes to believe what I'm seeing. But the last 15 or so today were alright. And Riise and Zenden seemed to hook up very nicely at times - perhaps that could be a solution (Zenden midfield, Riise left back)?

Alonso was outstanding today, me thought. And Garcia was good the short time he played.

But Traore ... my goodness he knows little about football, and that goes for both his pbutting and his placement. Yes, he can do the last ditch tackle very well (except for the one against Chelsea), but I'm scared pooless every time the opposition tries one against him. And today he was even in the middle! Scary stuff.
