Apart form the point Simon has made and whilst yes most of us would move into the same job for another employer for £100 more a week. Money can surely not be the prime motivation for players of SG's ilk. Prestige perhaps *IF* he goes to Madrid. I can only think it is money(that LFC could not or would not offer) *IF* he goes to Chelski but if so that's pretty sad considering what SG has acheived at LFC and the players who have turned down the Chelski dollars in the last 12 months. I this scenario I totally question SG mentality and ego now clearly spinning out of control. I've heard it first hand "he'sgerrard a big headed twat". Yes it's hard to accept as a fan that he may go to a rival club but first and foremost he is snubbing the club and fans before his next pledge of allegiance is even utteredknown.

So I am presuming it's prestige and that SG is heading to Spain, ironically, after earmarking an English manager for LFC. I also agree with Waltonic, much like Owen and although I still like to see him doing well, I say this... if SG joins another English club he IS dead to me.
