Liverpool - Rivals join Agger chase 09 Jan 2006 16:21 Juventus and Bayern Munich have reportedly joined Liverpool in the race to sign Brondby defender Daniel Agger. The 21-year-old Danish international remains high on the wanted list of Rafael Benitez, and reports from Denmark suggested a £5.5m fee had been agreed for the player. The Scandanavian club's chief executive Per Bjerregaard has dismissed reports that a deal has been done but did confirm that Liverpool were interested in the centre-back. Brondby have since slapped a £7m price tag on the stopper and the Reds may be unwilling to do business at that price, which could alert other european teams."

from Koptalk "Liverpool target Simao Sabrosa says he's not Anfield bound as yet and has pointed out that his employers are the decision makers and not him. Sabrosa played in Benfica's 2-0 win against Pacos on Sunday and the media had suggested that this could have been his last appearance for the Lisbon club because of the interest from Liverpool. But at the time of this update nothing has been agreed between both clubs which leaves the 26-year-old concentrating on Benfica's next game. Talking after the Pacos match, Sabrosa said: "Is this my last game with Benfica? I don't see why. "I am professional and I have a contract until June 2010. Everyone is aware of the situation but it's Benfica that has to decide. "For the time being there is nothing."
