Never look back. (Original lady my nan.)
Point being, I, personally, am sick of the constant Owen crap that gets spouted on this NG. Personally, I'm glad the over-rated little gnat has gone, and I hope he never comes back.
I'm not saying he's not a decent enough player, he obviously is, but he's not even fifty percent of what some people around here seem to think he is.
He's lost his pace, he never had any great level of skill or natural talent in the first place, he's always out injured, and he's an obnoxious little self satisfied twat.
People say we should never have let him go, that he'd have been the difference for us this season, that he's the answer. Rubbish. How many games has he played for Newcastle this year? I don't think he'd have been on the pitch enough to make any difference whatsoever.
But don't make the mistake of thinking that the main mark against him is his injury proneness. I also think he's not that much of a player. I'd rather see us buy almost anyone else other than him, and certainly would take a young, exciting, two footed finisher like Defoe ahead of a MO return.
And, on top of all that, don't forget he f*cked us over towards the end of his contract. Good riddens to mediocre over rated rubbish.
Michael Owen - the poor man's Rob Earnshaw.
Is this amusing...or am I a cynicFrom the FA . Football is the national game. All those involved with the game, whether as player, match official, coach, owner or administrator, have a responsibility to act according to the highest...
