If only Ren. Just one ot two clubs who would enforce the terms of a contract, but just too much money involved . It's also true that the clubs are as happy with this meaningless contract situation as the players. They will happily dump players mid term if it suits them but squeal like stuck pigs over tapping up approaches.
Interesting that Chelsea were docked 3 points (suspended subject to no more wickedness) but are now charged by Spurs with tapping up a member of their staff. There is talk of Cole taking the FA to the Civil Court over their finding and his penalty. If the FA try to dock Chelsea 3pts next term you can be sure they will do the same and it pretty big odds -on that either-both would win. We both know from the Jockey Club "rules" ,which courts have found to be unconstitutional , how flimsy these type of sports 'laws' can be if challenged. We all have the right to discuss our future even when under contract. The FA face an impossible task in persuading a court that footballers should not have the same rights as the rest of us.
Could be an interesting few months?
