John-Arne Riise - 7: Not seen much as an attacking force, he performed a valuable role in supporting his defence.

Xabi Alonso - 7: Thrown in at the deep end in Steven Gerrard's absence. Needlessly booked for kicking the ball away but he made up for the skipper's absence with a disciplined display.

Luis Garcia - 6: Plenty of effort but too often he was wasteful with the ball and attempted the spectacular when he needed to play it safe.

Milan Baros - 7: Often isolated up front but he was full of running and caused the Juve backline some nervy moments. Wasted a glaring chance that would have sealed the tie earlier.
