Paul Rogers 24 October 2005 Rafael Benitez has revealed that the only way Liverpool can emerge from a difficult start to the domestic season is by working even harder on and off the pitch. Liverpool have had no problems creating chances in the Premiership but a lack of goals has cost the Reds dear with a return of just five goals from eight games leaving Benitez's side in the bottom half of the table. While the defeat at Craven Cottage was particularly hard to bare, Benitez believes that now is definitely not the time to panic.

BENITEZ: WE MUST IMPROVE
Steve Hunter 24 October 2005 Rafael Benitez is demanding that his team improve and said that he won't...

"I have experience of this kind of situation before," insists the Liverpool manager, "so I know how to change - by working hard and trying to play as hard as possible. We have good players. We created so many chances in the second half and normally you would score, but the goalkeeper was the best.

"Now is the time to be positive, we cannot change this game and we need now to think about Crystal Palace. How can we think about West Ham if we have a game before? We must think about Crystal Palace first, it's simple. I am not talking about priorities - we have a game on Tuesday, and then we must think about Saturday."
