A Religious Experience
UnbelievableI have watched all Liverpool's european wins and this ranks as the best. Watched tonight with my 10 year...
It was written in the stars. Liverpool football club and their fans tonight experienced a spiritual event. It cannot be explained in any other terms. We as a club have been accused of sentimentality, but it is what makes our club unique. It separates us from the gluttony and decadence of so called bigger clubs. Make us dream said the fans, believe said Thommo, and in the face of cynicism and disbelief we have emerged triumphant.
The cup is ours: for keeps. There was something preordained about our route to glory, something unexplainable. Whatever force there is out there, was with us. 96 people died for this club, tonight they were somehow with us. Shankly, who created the magic, was with us. Paisley was there. Everybody, who ever loved this club, was there. All this love, all this pbuttion, belief, hope, these were just some of the ingredients that created a miraculous night. We are the "special ones".
What we have, others can only dream of. This European campaign has reinforced extraordinarily what we as fans can do, what we can transmit to our players., what our desire and unflinching loyalty can overcome. Liverpool football club has never walked alone, with hope in our hearts, we hall snot be moved.
