Correct, but even though getting beat at Highbury by a fast improving side is no disgrace, it was not good that the team were never really up for the game, particularly early on when the match could have become impossible to save. Third in the prem, and a good chance ( remembering the match congestion this season ) of finishing in the important 2nd spot, should be enough to inject some fight into the side, particularly when playing away to one of their likely main rivals in the coming seasons, and possibly this if things don't change soon? The midweek disappointment seemed to go onto the pitch with them. It shouldn't have. I was again left wondering about such a late decision to get Fowler on. I never thought he was going to be any long term answer to the forward problem and, obviously, neither does Benitez, but hasn't he shown touches of the old quickness lately, enough at least to be given longer than 10 mins to save another game where no other forwards seem likely to score?
The picture of Raffa two mins of explaining to Fowler, with the help of pencil and paper, the best way to get a goal in the short time he was giving him was amusing. I wonder if his grandmother ever sucked eggs......whatever that means?
