hmmmm -- 2000 years? I take it you mean Christianity then? Is it Catholic Christianity you have a grudge against or one of the thousands of denominations of Protestant Christianity, which isn't really Christianity at all but rather another example of second-rate minds getting together and organising a revolt to "correct" whatever it was in the Catholic faith they didn't agree with, no doubt replacing it with something more colourful, credible, and inoffensive?

Is it the fact that the Catholic clergy brought literacy and higher education to England you don't like? Is it the Catholicism of old English art, literature and architecture which, until the Deformation at least, could rightly be considered among the glories of western civilisation? Not that it's all that easy to find the Catholicism in e.g., Shakespeare's plays, of course, given the suppression of the drama and the ban on any mention of God in it under the great Protestant monarchs of 16th and early 17th century England.

So what exactly is this madness you are talking about, and what exactly are the religions you have in mind? Untiol you define them we can't really get ahead on this issue.
